Mr. Wentz is a partner in our Labor and Employment Practice with extensive experience representing both public and private sector labor organizations. His representation of labor organizations includes collective bargaining negotiations, arbitration, and litigation in federal and state courts and before the federal and state agencies charged with enforcing the nation’s labor laws.  He provides advice and guidance to clients on legal issues related to union organizing, the duty of fair representation, and regulatory compliance.  Mr. Wentz received his B.A. with honors from the University of Dayton.  He then went on to earn his Masters with honors in Labor and Industrial Relations from Rutgers University, Institute for Management and Labor Relations. Mr. Wentz received his J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.  

Mr. Wentz has represented numerous labor organizations at the local, state and international levels, including the International Brotherhood of Teamsters the Communications Workers of America, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, the International Association of Firefighters, and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. Within the aviation industry, he has recently negotiated industry leading contracts for pilots, flight attendants and mechanics.  He has also served as lead negotiator for unions representing production, warehouse, driver, sales, professional and government employees.   Through arbitration, he was secured the reinstatement of numerous discharged employees and obtained effective remedies in a variety of contract interpretation disputes.

Mr. Wentz’s professional affiliations include the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee, the ABA Labor and Employment Section, the Ohio Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, and the Labor and Employment Relations Association. He also is a consistent lecturer on the subject of Labor and Employment Issues.
