Monica Ferraro is a partner in our Louisiana Social Security Disability/SSI Practice. She is admitted to practice in front of the Supreme Court of Louisiana and the United States District Court (Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana).   Ms. Ferraro was born in Italy where she was educated through the parochial schools as a child and once presented a bouquet of flowers to Pope John Paul II.  She obtained her legal degree overseas from the University of Padua, Italy (1992). The University of Padua is an internationally recognized center for legal study that has been around since 1222.  Since the university’s existence, it has bestowed upon its students instruction from the likes of Galileo and Copernicus. After practicing in Italy, Ms. Ferraro moved to New Orleans where in 1998 she obtained her certification to practice law in Louisiana.

Since moving to the United States, Ms. Ferraro has continually and successfully represented Social Security Disability and SSI Clients in Louisiana. Her success has translated to her becoming a frequent lecturer upon these practices.

Ms. Ferraro is professionally involved with the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).  Within the local community Ms. Ferraro involves herself with the Humane Society of Louisiana and in the global community Amnesty International.
